Technology Advisory Committee

Overview

A mandatory CSU Student Technology Fee was set by the University System of Georgia Board of Regents beginning Fall Semester 2000. Responsibility for decisions regarding the expenditure of these funds was assigned to a Technology Advisory Committee by President Frank Brown in June 2000.

The committee, which must have at least as many student representatives as faculty/staff representatives, is comprised of:

  • three student representatives appointed by the SGA President
  • a faculty member familiar with the application of technology on campus
  • the Coordinator of Instructional Technology Services
  • and the Executive Director of University Information and Technology Services, who serves as chair.

The committee is committed to serving the instructional needs of the highest number of students possible and assuring funds are spent for their intended purposes.
